Pat,

Now that Amati is "home free" and declared the XDSL champion <big g>,
I would like to ask if you can get a "little direction" on anything
to do with Microsoft and Amati (maybe even Intel)at Interop.

Fatter & cheaper telcom pipes are dream come true for Gates & Grove.
Microsoft is deveoping more & more content and has many, plans
(http://www.techweb.com/wire/news/apr/0428multimedia.html).

Microsoft has been trialing Amati/Westell modems for telecommuting.
I'm sure they must have plans when you hear a GTE/Microsoft or
Microsoft supporting MCI Intranet trials (last year).

It all ties together. Microsoft & Intel have a way of creating
standards themselves. Intel wants to be a player in the networking
industry (see announcements I posted yesterday).

Techonolgy is great ... but marketing/future alliances will determine
Amati's fate. I'm very please about yesterday's announcement with
Siemens. I would be very, very happy if we could gain an agreement
with somebody who is "in bed" with the Rboc's or and the desktop of
corporate america. Then we could retire <another big G>.

Dream Amati Alliance Wish list
------------------------------
networking - cisco or intel (ipsilon is a quicker & cheaper Cisco)
desktop - Microsoft/URSX (they'll be back hopefully)
Rboc's Vendors - Alcatel,Lucent

chips- TI/Motorola/NEC ..."hat's off to Amati"

Hoping for the best ...good luck to all,

Bob
