Whoa! USMA, I think I figured out your troubles. You wrote that the less you invest, the less you lose. No wonder you are a bit down. Maybe you should consider avoiding stocks altogether...
(Ok, sorry to go off topic here folks, but silly humor aside, I believe you, USMA, should check out a book called "Stress Without Distress" by the late Hans Selye. It has been conclusive for some time that agitative behavior, such as the sort you favor, does lead to all kinds of health complications. It is unhealthy for us, your readers, by and large, somewhat like second-hand smoke, but far worse for you. Whatever you do with this tip is your business of course, but if you do your DD on this particular topic, you will find that you are probably increasing your risk for all kinds of health complications, from arterial sclerosis to cancer, just by inciting tension and strife among your fellow human beings. There is plenty of evidence for this out there at this point. In fact I bet, and even hope, you come to a personal reckoning one day and take up some sort of therapy or meditation, or even prayer, since you appear to be fairly perceptive on some issues. Benjamin Franklin knew it is better to seek the love of one's fellow human beings. In my opinion I think there is no point of gamesmanship that is worth sacrificing that pursuit, though I myself may not always succeed in this ideal. However, at such a cost, it is probably better to give up the game altogether. Best of luck.) |
