"DUKE PATENTS" means patent application serial number 09/168910 entitled "Substantially non-toxic biologically active mucosal adjuvants in vertebrate subjects" filed October 8, 1998 in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including all amendments, continuation applications, divisional applications, continuation-in-part applications, and reissues based thereon, and foreign counter parts thereto. 10Q on 2/14/2000

I was wondering why I could not find a patent with Herman Staats' name as the inventor and now I know why. The patent has not been issued.

INTERESTING:

"JOINT PATENTS" shall mean any patent or patent application that, first, has inventors from both CISTRON and DUKE, and, second, relates to the FIELD, and, third, has claims protecting the use of a mutant form of IL-1b as an intranasal vaccine adjuvant, and, fourth, is based on an invention disclosed to DUKE in an Invention Disclosure Form which was assigned File # 1689 and which is incorporated in its entirety as Exhibit A of this AGREEMENT.
