London – February 15th 2000 – Global Crossing (Nasdaq: GBLX), which is building and operating the world's most advanced global IP-based fiber optic network, today announced plans to secure a substantial growth in its share of the burgeoning UK and Pan-European telecommunications market with the merger of its existing UK business and the recently acquired Racal Telecom and Frontier Communications operations.

It smells to me like they are setting up another unit to be spun off . . . any thoughts?
