I use OT RT and am very successful with it. I use highly rated IBD stocks, about four hundred of them, I put IBD's Industry Prices ranking into a spreadsheet every Saturday(Monday's paper). I watch the industries that are moving up, I take the best stocks in my price range in the industries and put them into an EOD profile in OT. I use the ARM2 profile. I test them and run the signals. I get a lot of buy signals. OT is only a stock finder, now, I go over every stock and check "good opportunity" for the stocks have good chart patterns. I check for volume, moving averages, weekly charts, Fibanacci - everything that might help me decide. I may be out in left field now. I highlight all of the checked stocks and copy them to my RT profile. I know that all of the stocks look good to me, so I'm not worried about dogs. I set the profile with MACD and a 20 and 50 period moving average for 5Min, 60Min, and daily. I watch the sixty minute for buys - when the MA crosses and the MACD fires. If the volume is coming in, I will buy.
I don't think that you are using OT correctly if you think that you can get RT only from 3:30 to 4:00. I may be misunderstanding you, if so I apologise.
I use Quote.Com for my real time feed. Anytime that I see something that does't look right - I just hit the refresh and get new fresh data. I also use DTN satelite feed and both systems are pretty close all of the time. |
