The idea behind anti-monopoly laws is that they break up companies who monopolize so that no abuse can set in. In the case of Msft, they really do own the operating system market right now. As people are trying to introduce new products as Win 95 products, they are now finding how the long process of getting approval to occur can really take. One thing is who knows if approval of such compliant products will be held up because Msft wants that market? As I said before, when Msft ventured into banking with the potential acquisition of Intuit, the bankers got DOJ to look into them very fast. It seems as if Msft is left to pick on some industries v. others. When Msft is channeled into some industries, but not others, who wins? Not the banking consumer (above Intuit reference)!
