I didn't have a chance to take notes from the conf.call, but there was an interesting point made from one question.

The analyst said-- "so you only grew revenues during this weak quarter around 6%, year over year, but you indicated during the last call that YR2000 revenues should be in the 20 to low 20% range. So then we should expect to see revenues ramping up significantly over Q2 and Q3?" I think it was Raney who said, "Yes, that's what we see". This analyst seemed to be very satisfied with this answer and assuming these guys are looking forward over the next 2 quarters, the stock should hold in the $35-40 range, nearterm, or start to move back higher again. Barring macro market conditions, we could see an interim "peak" in share price during Brainshare week-- they already have 4000 folks signed up.

The weakness in revenue the last few weeks in January was happening to everyone, not just Novell. It was the tail end of the Y2K lockdown that seemed to peak in Europe and North America. Asia-Japan numbers were still strong.
