I picked up W2K pro version for free today at Office Max. $179 minus $70 upgrade rebate + free Zip drive @ $99.
Came home backed up my machine and attempted to install. I guess I am one of the unlucky 25% that will have issues.<g>
SMC nic not supported by W2K and no W2K nic drivers of any kind at SMC's website. HP tape drive will not have software till some time in May. MS Intellimouse explorer(the latest)requires one to uninstall the drivers before loading W2K. Plus a few other warnings about possible software problems. Will take several days to work out the details of removing one of the two nics in my machine and figure out if one of the other nics I have on hand will work.

OBTW, I recommend everybody read "The New New Thing" a very interesting and entertaining book.
