Michael, thanks for the link. Lately I've been wondering how those too far from the CO and/or getting POTS via SLC-96 were going to tap into ADSL. Fiber is good for you!

Thinking just a bit further into the future to more true broadband (bidirectional Mbit/s range) I believe both DSL and cable will come up against the same fundamental challenge: Bringing the big pipe (fiber) closer to the consumer/customer. From there the beautiful thing about DSL is the lower equipment cost to go that last mile. 8-)
