I agree, TigerPaw. And so does ATI from what I can tell. In the PC market, I think they're prepared to leave well enough alone. They're doing well as a card/chip supplier. The hope is that the set-top and e-appliance markets will be a new discontinuous innovation, with new players and new standards. It must be conceded that Intel sees this potential as well, and would love to snag it (and they've got the financial ability to fight the battle). They too are working on an integrated chip for e-appliances.

I'm not ready to pick the gorilla in this game yet, but I'm thinking that we're getting pretty close to a tornado and the major players are starting to show up. I'm watching closely to see who should be in the "basket of stocks" from which a gorilla may emerge.
