one thing to consider, Corvis will start shipping a product this summer that can send an optical signal 2500 miles without regeneration...currently, light signals degrade after 150 miles i believe, hence need to be regenerated many times from LA to NY...these regerating houses need expensive hardware and humans manning the fort...Corvis looks to eliminate this...Ciena knows this and i hope they are taking counter measures as we speak...alot of co's are worried about Huber's Corvis right now...i still think Ciena is heading towards 200...jmo. mact
