Didn't Gilder also suggest last year that Lucent was going to be trouble for Cisco, and that investors should get out of CSCO? (2 splits and 150% ago, while Lucent has done nothing?). Gilder has made some good calls, but he's also blown it a few times (which is seldom mentioned). I think he also worked for Richard Nixon, which makes me a bit reluctant to give him my money! :-)
