Thanks for figuring all of that out Lynn. I've decided though that the only humane way to keep chickens is to keep them in the house. I'm just going to get me a flock or a herd or whatever, pack 'em into the car and drive down to the local Ace hardware store and have the fellow help me fit them with just the right gauge of chain and appropriate leg irons to keep their little hooves from chafing. That'll make it easier for my developmentally disabled rescue dog to keep track of them and I don't need to go to the expense of importing chicken gauchos up from the Pampas on H1 visas. Thanks again.
