PB, RE-<That could be fun. Shall we say....$500 margin per part?>

A sweet dream. I thinks those companies who sign on new Intel embedded processor are hedging their bets. In the telecom+network world, MOT is a dominant player with their 68K and PPC processors embedded in the equipment at the service provider side. x86 embedded processors are primarily used at the consumer side and in some cases in the computer telephony boxes. Generally, the margin of embedded processors is pathetic compared to Intel's in the desktop market.

In the mind of telecom and network engineers, Intel and Microsoft don't mean a squat. It's the world of MOT, LU, TI, PMCS, WIND, etc.
