Top POS Executive Joins ST Systems

Hayward, CA--

Sable Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of ST Systems Corp.
(CDNX:SYT), a leading manufacturer and marketer of restaurant
Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems, announced today that
restaurant-automation expert Larry O'Connor has joined the firm
as Director of Business Development. The appointment is effective
immediately.

In his new role, Mr. O'Connor will be responsible for the
anticipation and tracking of user needs and industry trends along
with the evolution of the Sable product line. Mr. J. Douglas
Bailey, Chairman and CEO of ST Systems, expressed his delight in
Mr. O'Connor's decision to join Sable, stating, "Larry's vast
experience in the hospitality industry, combined with his proven
talent for anticipating future trends, will contribute hugely to
our aggressive, diverse, and forward-thinking growth plans."

Mr. O'Connor earned his BA degree in Sociology and Psychology
from the State University of New York in Binghamton and pursued
additional graduate studies in Business Administration. He has
more than 30 years experience in the hospitality industry, half
directly involved in restaurant operations and administration and
half as a developer and supplier of technology to the hospitality
industry. Mr. O'Connor is also one of the founders of Fastech
Software. After its acquisition in 1998 by Ibertech, he became
Director of Product Management for Aloha POS Back-Office Systems.
During his career, Mr. O'Connor coined the concept of the
"intelligent restaurant"-one in which appropriate information is
gathered once, made available everywhere.

ST Systems, through its subsidiaries Sable Technologies and
Documentor Sciences, provides experienced, professional
systems-integration services, addressing the POS and back-office
needs of both table-service and quick-service restaurants. With
its deserved reputation for 24-hour service and customer loyalty,
ST Systems is favorably positioned for continued growth and
profitability into the new millennium.
