Yes, time to dump EWEB. Read it for yourself:

KPN on a tear (CBS Marketwatch, Feb. 18, 2000)

Dutch telecommunications operator KPN NV (KPN: news, chart) rose 1.95 euros, or 1.7 percent, to 115.85 euros Friday after it announced its second Net acquisition in as many days.

KPN, which says it wants to become one of Europe's top Internet providers, announced it's bought 51 percent of Euroweb International (EWEB: news, chart), which owns Internet service providers in Hungary, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

The $16.3 million deal boosts the Dutch company's position in the Central European online market, giving it a particularly strong foothold in Hungary. KPN said the purchase makes it one of the country's largest Internet service providers, with 35 percent of the market.
