Wayne - LOL re the temps. I know for sure that most (at least) sports books in Vegas comingle them. And I'm pretty sure that the same is true for the individual tracks in these days of simulcasting. At my OTB I generally use a machine. The first thing that pops up is a display asking which track you wish to bet. Machines in Texas and Florida operate the same way. So it appears that one's wager goes directly to a single pool. There is no longer any such thing (at least in the several states that I've played) as different payoffs depending upon the locale.
