There is a difference between trying to make money and my personal feelings for a stock/company. I would not buy EGRP at $20 because to buy 1000 shares would cost me $20k. However, those April 30 calls, at $3/4-$13/16 right now, will cost me roughly $3200 for 40 contracts. If EGRP runs before the next earnings announcement or posts good numbers, then let's say the downside is minimal at EGRP makes a stab at $25 in 2 months. Those calls can easily double in value. So I stand to make $3200 without having to use $20k but used only $3200 instead.
Buying calls at a strike price of $30 is not a bad idea at this point, especially if EGRP drops below $20 in the next week or so. Those 30 calls should be dirt cheap. March 30 calls may be asking too much, since there is very little news (other than the Fed), which may move the stock. March 25's could be more reasonable, and they are being sold at around $3/4 last time I checked. With April 30 calls, you have 2 months before they expire.
I have not checked whether EGRP plans to release numbers before or after options expiry in April, most likely it is before. That makes a big difference in the decision.
Just because I think EGRP is not a stellar company does not mean I won't take advantage of any short term volatility or cheap options.
As for your other points, they are quite invalid. YOU are the ones engaged in repeated personal attacks. YOU are the ones questioning my every post. In short, YOU are the ones acting like sullen little brats who can't stand to watch their stock depreciate.
Good luck to you. |
