Adaptive Broadband Selects Teledyne Technologies for AB-Access Radio MMIC Power Amplifiers LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 2000--Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY) was selected by Adaptive Broadband(TM) Corporation (Nasdaq: ADAP) to provide 75,000 MMIC power amplifiers for the AB-Access(TM) U-NII band radio.
AB-Access(TM) is a broadband fixed wireless access network for Internet, data, video, and voice applications. It is rapidly deployable, scalable, and spans the frequency range from 2 to 42 GHz. The first releases operate in the U-NII (Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure) band from 5.25 to 5.825 GHz. Point-to-multipoint connections up to 25 Mbps enable high-speed communications within broad service areas.
Teledyne's MMIC power amplifier is based on a proven GaAs MESFET process that offers superior reliability and performance.
