I did the same thing many years ago when Biotechnology was all the rage for the first time. I was amazed by the performance of my Fidelity Biotechnology Fund. Those record breaking gains did not last but now the sector is simply amazing again.

In fact today on CNN Headline News today I heard that the Biotech Sector was up 50% on the new year. Biotechnology stock gains are largely responsible for the record levels the Nasdaq Composite has achieved this year.

Trouble is that once these things become media darlings the upside becomes much more limited.

My advice is to hold your fund no matter what because you only pay that 3% fee once and in the long run you will win big.
