I have been following MSFT closely for the past 9 months . During the past week there hasnt been a huge amount of selling, there just hasnt been a lot of buying!. So the Market makers are dropping the price lower and lower until buying support is found.
Check out Thompson I watch which shows institutional buying interest

If you check today you will see that there was very little buying or selling activity in MSFT by the institutions.

My view is that the institutions do not want to take a large position in msft ahead of the court verdict. When the verdict is out then they will probably start buying again because they will have to re-weight their positions.
