A good point, but I am not sure any link differentiates between short positions taken for different position. One possible way of figuring it out would be to find historic (?) links on the short interest before and after the Telebanc deal was announced. However, the fact that EGRP tanked could skew that number. Perhaps the master who has held EGRP since 1998 (without selling can another this one).

I would imagine since the merger has been complete, that short interest should be closed out by now.
