TTOSBT, Re: "We shall see!"

There were rumblings today that the monopoly case moves to a new level next week. This will be advancing over the coming weeks and the results could be beneficial for the Corel/Inprise venture. Actually, that's the biggest reason I've stuck around, after reducing my exposure. I already voiced my concerns about the management of the merged companies, but legal restraints on Microsoft would be a huge plus even with inept management.

Have you (or anyone else) heard how Inprise's technical staff is taking this whole brouhaha? I've had one report that the biggest outflow from Scotts Valley is resumes, but the person who told me that loves to tell me how wrong I am in everything I do, so I'm not confident that the report is valid.

If you (or anyone else) can get any hard information on the morale at Scotts Valley, it would be very helpful. If we lose our talent pool, this venture doesn't have a chance.

Fred
