Pham,thanks for posting that. The biggest boost of enthusiasm I ever got about SMTC was from a March 97 conf call when Tom Dugan connected the dots about how the bandwidth revolution will not take place without the analog folks.

Dugan explained that as speed increases in the local loop (from the telco central office to your home), frequencies increase and degrade/destroy the signal.He explained that SMTC products solve these problems of signal degradation by decreasing the capacitance and lowering the voltage.

Thus,as you point out--analog is going to be a very important part of all this new xDSL infrastructure. And I bet those are going to be high margin proprietary designs! Cha-ching!
