A few things to think about.
John McCain is genuine. He sticks to his guns and been the odd gun out, disagreeing with his party and president more than once.
He is no recent convert to spotlighting pork barrel spending. He has done it for years, and is disliked by the establishment for it. McCain refuses to use the scripted "Wag the Dog" style of G.W. Bush, and Al Gore.
McCain actually answers the peoples questions. McCain can prove that he has been tested Personally and politically and passed with flying colors. McCain has stood up to his captors in the Hanoi hilton, and those beltway politicians that have lost sight of why they were sent to Washington in the first place.
The Power hungry beltway politicians do not like him because they are afraid that like Reagan, McCain will take the truth to the American people when the power structure wont budge.
It's refreshing to have someone who speaks to the people and is honest .
