I agree. Based on the data I believe majority if not all Athlons on Al 180nm have been at or above 800MHz. They have been slowly and methodically trying to shift the market demand to higher speed Athlons as the other segments (especially motherboards qualified for higher speeds) of the infrastructure catch up with Athlon production and speed.


< Since AMD has enjoyed plenty of success with the Athlon in the 500 - 600MHZ range, where PIII has been, if anything, in oversupply, progress should continue, or even accelerate, now that rationality has returned to high end pricing. >

As Kash mentioned in one of his posts, by the end of this year 850MHz or even 1GHz may become the sweetspot in the consumer market.
