Thanks Z. My focus is on the current USA RBOC DSL challenge and how the ALA/NN combination could really dominate, creating a lot of business. The RBOCs are getting slammed for their slow and painful rollout process. I would imagine that LMDS could replace the copper DSL for last mile in some places, and in both approaches a common ATM into optical (OC-192) backbone could occur, mapping the last mile copper/fixed wireless into the optical backbone in a seamless and integrated manner. That is, if voice communications works properly over LMDS, which I have never used myself (if it even exists).

Did you ever find out anything about the power line technology that both ALA and NN apparently have, and whether they are going to have a product for electrical utilities especially in Europe to compete with the phone companies? This is probably not important.

This week should be lots of fun.
