Paige Relaunches FlatPlug(R) in U.S. Market
TORONTO, ONTARIO--Paige Innovations Inc., the developer and
patentholders of the innovative FlatPlug(R) line of extension
cords, announced today the completion of an overhaul in its U.S.
sales infrastructure.
According to the President and CEO of Paige Innovations, Alberto
"P.G."de Sousa Costa, "Our new marketing and sales infrastructure
allows us to control the manufacturing, marketing and distribution
of the award winning FlatPlug(R) product in the U.S., Canadian and
Mexican markets".
New services include an established network of Manufacturers
Representatives as well as a nationwide in-store merchandising and
support program, which will include a concerted advertising and
promotional timetable that is estimated to enhance all of our
marketing efforts. As an added benefit of this restructuring,
more competitive prices than ever before are offered. "This new
direct pricing allows FlatPlug(R) to compete on a level playing
field with conventional cord products" says de Sousa Costa.
Paige Innovations has also confirmed its commitment to the
hardware/home center channels of distribution by entering an
agreement with Chicago-based TradeMaster Services, Inc.
("Trademaster"), one of the nation's leading manufacturing
representative groups. TradeMaster, in conjunction with
representatives in every state in the nation, will manage certain
U.S. Sales, support and in-store merchandising.
Currently, FlatPlug(R) products are available to the U.S.,
Canadian and Mexican markets in a logical assortment of 20 SKU's
that can be custom plan-o-grammed for each national account. The
number of product SKU's will continue to increase at a "reasonable
rate", according to Mike El Refaie, Ph.D., Director of Product
Development at Paige.
Paige Innovations owns numerous worldwide patents for its
FlatPlug(R) electrical plug, the first major redesign of the
common electrical plug in 75 years, for which it has won many
design and innovation awards.
The common shares of Paige Innovations are listed on the Toronto
Stock Exchange under the trading symbol PAG.
