To Mark Ruthheiser and Jeff Morrison: You are two classy guys. It is far from easy to stand in the middle of this mess and still take time to thank Caroline for her efforts to help.

Although it is seems that most everyone out there wants to mislead us, there ARE people whose primary instincts are to share information. That is what SI is supposed to do for we little investors. Caroline just took it seriously.

I took my GIFS licks back in January and know what a GIFS loss feels like. It made me angry because most of my due diligence failed to warn me of this nest of vipers. A loss like this isn't like a stock falling because the analysts turned on it. This was people purposely out to take my money and return no value.

There is a bright side to this mess. GIFS is like a graduate course in investing. We will be tougher, richer investors several months from now.

The cruelest lesson, for me, was that I should never trust any SEC filings unless the items can be independently verified. The penalty for false statements is a minimum security vacation. Some people don't think that's a big deterrent.

Jonathan Kwitny's book "The Fountain Pen Conspiracy"(hardback)/"The Super Swindlers" (paperback) was recommended to me in January. It was a major eye-opener.
