Binx,

When referring to investment in Lexar I meant it with regard to the IPO, not previous investors. The Toshiba investment occurred some time ago and certainly before the patent infringement suit became public knowledge. Clearly, Toshiba is aligned with SanDisk.

I feel bad for Toshiba, though...

In 1999, we purchased approximately $18.5 million of materials from Toshiba, and as of December 31, 1999, we had payables to Toshiba of approximately $3.4 million.

Lexar spent $18,500,000.00 on flash wafer alone to generate total revenues of $29,219,000.00 in 1999.
No wonder their gross margins are so horrible.

Maybe Mr. Toshiba actually did write that letter?
