Ok, I'll go along with that. But I do think that prevailing American attitudes toward the rest of the world, and toward efforts to develop some sort of worldwide consensus on ground rules for international trade and relations, are way behind the times. Many of us have proven in our daily business that we thoroughly understand the nature of compromise, of give and take, of negotiating win-win solutions, of giving up a little to get more, of planning for long-term stability and gain, of seeing the other person's point of view and factoring it into our equations. But let another nation come into the picture and they instantaneously revert to the tribal chest-beating of primordial times. It is really quite incomprehensible to me.

I guess that makes me either an agent of or an apologist for the Great World Dictatorship Conspiracy....
