As I said, read the Customer Guide.

ALL LIMIT ORDERS OUTSIDE THE MARKET ARE PLACED ON ISLAND. Try it place a limit order way outside the market, or if you want to buy but aren't in a hurry at the bid on a fast moving stock, then check isld.com for that stock you will see your order there. That is where it will stay unless someone matches or it beats someones order to Datek or other broker that uses Island, or some one sees it and places a countering order at that price.
