I would not be surprised to learn that the studies were shoddy, which is why I do not care to press the point. I do think, from my reading in psychology, that there does not yet exist a very solid theoretical framework for addressing a lot of these issues, and that in many instances behavior modification is more useful than "talking therapy"......
