Andrew - I have 3 monitors running in Win98 off an Asus P3BF motherboard. Since I made 2 of them both 19" it is much better because you want to run the same resolution on each monitor. Therefore each video card should be capable of the same resolution. I have a new Asus G-force 6600 delux on the Samsung Synmaster IFT, and and ATI expert128 feeding the Hitachi752 monitor. The other is a cheaper card to my old Nec3D which is just used for order entry, but I intend to upgrade this combination also.

On the Samsung I run S&P charting, and on the Hitachi I run Stockwatch portfolio and ticker screens, and chat screens, e-mail. My other computer is Win95 and just runs S&P trading screens.

I don't think it comes much better than my 2 high quality video cards and the monitors. I run them both at 1600x1200 resolution so I can cram a lot of stuff on them. But the text and graphics is so crystal sharp and clear.

So if you are going to run multiple monitors, my suggestion is to make sure each video card has the same resolution capability, and the moniotrs should have the same dot pitch capabiltiy. One reason I choose the ATI card is that ATI had a development program with Microsoft to make sure their cards were capable of the multi monitor mode. I picked the Asus because of its speed for games, and figured it should be compatible with my Asus board and the ATI. So far so good, no problems, but have just got it together in this dual configuration a few days ago. But it truly is exceptional.
