Due to the overwhelming surge in the demand for on-line trading I feel that in this investment climate that all new investors be extremely careful.

I am going to suggest that if you want to trade and trade effectively as this thread suggests you may end up losing money with the on-line house.I am not suggesting that they are bad companies.I am merely suggesting that execution may cost you money.

i.e.--If you buy a momo stock as the market opens and the stock runs up and you try to sell on-line and can't get through or because of the demands on ill prepared discount brokers the site is down you can lose money big time.I suggest if you are going to trade the current markets this way to concentrate on position trades(holds of greater than 5 days) and you should have no problems. As most people know, it is getting harder and harder to capitalize on the trends in the market with that type of system.
I wan't to capitalize on the trends and swings and have switched over one of my accounts to a full service broker.I pay a little more(1% of the trade up to $10,000.00 with a minimum of 50.00 and a ticket charge of 15.00 because I make more than 5 trades per day)but the execution is paramount in this type of trading.Without the execution system you will lose money more times than you will win on lost oppurtunity.Anyone here doesn't believe me than stop and think of one time you couldn't sell when you wanted to or couldn't buy when you wanted to and that missed oppurtunity speaks volumes.
This IS a MOMO Puppies thread....not a position trading thread.Position trades and fundamentals associated with them should be posted to the stocks own thread if it exists so as to keep down the number of none momo posts.
I don't know about others but we all make money if we all play the MOMO and do heads up as soon as we see it.I define MOMO myself as any stock that has a suge in volume(at least 100K and/or a surge in price)

FWIW-always invest only what you can afford to lose. These markets are risky at best and now that the brokers know there are delays in execution they are also capitalizing on the trend.
