All beliefs like that are moral beliefs- if you believe in communism so much it allows you to kill people merely because they DON'T believe in communism it is a moral belief. Relativists who KNOW they are relativists are not likely to be overcome by passion- imo. It is hard to be passionately committed to something when you realize it has a very good possibility of meaning nothing more than you think it means. Everything you mention merely confirms my case. Marxists and Nazis are perfect examples of people convinced THEY had the TRUE answer- so that doesn't really fit the profile of a relativist who knows everything is relative and thus his, or her, belief system is no better or worse than any other. So I would have to say you are wrong about relativists creating havoc- as far as I can see they have created none.
