think in terms of a normal curve. using an over achieving "outlier" to prove the distribution mean can move (achieve) to the outlier level would get you laughed out of statistics 101.

yet, that is what you do with an apparent straight face. you use the term "replete" to describe a relatively rare occurrence - and i'm defining greatness extremely loosely. what would you use to describe the other 90%if "replete" is used to describe the 10%?

bill gates born in south central = microsoft? NOT! we know bill was "smart" and chose to be born in a good neighborhood to attorney parents that could afford private school, right?

william, there are neighborhoods you wouldn't even walk in yet 4 year olds play there daily.
