Politics today is nothing much more than the cynical, media-driven manipulation of masses of not very bright, not very educated, not very attentive people. "You can fool most of the people most...."

Isn't it funny how Bush has suddenly discovered "my reform agenda". He looked around at how McCain was capturing the hearts of people with a real reform agenda, and he said "Hey, I want some of that!" What a phony. He never had an original thought in his life. McCain's victory is to put "reform" on the agenda--for Bush it's just another slogan like "compassionate conservativism". McCain really means it.

As for McCain's "graceless" concession speech--this is more "spin" -- more of the same cynical negative tactics the Bush people--the establishment--have resorted to because McCain scared the bejesus out of them. Why should McCain be "graceful" about the sheer hypocrisy of a man who lied repeatedly about McCain's voting record in congress and other things. That would be phony. The Bush people were far from "graceful" after New Hampshire. Now that they won a state, they suddenly want everyone to be a good little respectable polite lapdog and "make nice". Before New Hampshire, Bush called McCain "my buddy" and patronized him with "I'm proud of you". After New Hampshire, McCain was "a hypocrite"....

G.W. is the same old same old political conniver and establishment lapdog. A dishonest phony. And my God, after all is said and done, what a lightweight.
