Optical Access ??'s

I just re-read the notes from the last CC posted on the Web site. It raised a few questions that I am in the process of trying to answer for myself, but if anybody wants to jump in and help me, I'd appreciate the help.

The highlight of Q3 was the growth in Optical Access by 48%. (Company overall was 14%) Any indication they weren't shipping at capacity?

What are the real revenue generating products? Lasers, LED's,tranceivers, tramsmitters or receivers? How much are the new tranciever lines expected to contribute to the bottom line this quarter? Did they represent a real advance in state-of-the-art?

Will they maintain profitability even with investment in new foundry?

Last CC emphasized investment in product development. Shareholder value through innovation and growth - not necessarily sales - yet. Tsui and Fisher added as intellectual capital and capability in optical transmission components. How does the intellectual capital already in place compare to competitors? Tough one, eh?

Where was it suggested that Optical Access would be spun off? If you look at the Web site, MRV = Optical Access. The start-ups clearly listed in the last CC are New Access, Charlotte's Web, and Hyperchannel. Zuma is mentioned as a potential spin-off, not Optical Access.
