You got that right! Imagine, lowing rates because of a 'crisis' in Asia (I don't remember any real effect of that 'crisis') -- And calling a special meeting to lower rates on the date of options expir! -- talk about manipulation!!!

Are you suggesting that the Fed should not have the power to regulate margin loans? What will be the outcry if he ever lowers the % of margin equity?
