E-Trade is reasonably good. The execution is good on market orders, except when they are busy, but often I get a fill in less than a minute. The commissions are very competitive. The problem with E-Trade Canada is they don't have any provision for entering stop-loss orders, which makes day-trading very difficult. Neither do they take short sale orders. They say they are working on these ideas, which seems very strange considering that their US parent does both. I will only stay with them if they add these features.
