Story Filed: Friday, February 18, 2000 12:29 PM EST

FEB 18, 2000, M2 Communications - The Compaq Presario EZ2000 and the Dell WebPC have
received the Intel Innovative PC Recognition Award from Intel Corporation, with the award
recognising designs that measurably advance the PC in the area of set-up, operation, expansion and
maintenance.

Also taking place at the Intel Developer Forum where the awards were announced, was a
demonstration of Intel Corporation's new VTune Performance Analyser V4.5, Intel C/C++
Compiler V4.5 and the Intel Fortran Compiler V4.5.

These products are all examples of Intel Corporation's latest development tools for its most recent
Intel CPUs.

The VTune Performance Analyzer V4.5 has a list price of USD429, the Intel C/C++ Compiler V4.5
lists at USD299 and the Intel Fortran Compiler V4.5 lists at USD349.

Finally, in an address at the forum, Paul Otellini, Intel Corporation's executive vice president,
outlined his vision of the third generation of Internet business.

Otellini said that the third generation of Internet business will see company's utilising Internet
technology to 'manage their supplier interactions electronically and in real time' rather than just
maintaining a web presence and allowing online placement and tracking of orders through linking
web servers to back-end systems.

Otellini also sees Internet business moving from being vendor-centric to being customer-centric,
which he said 'is about customers building applications that integrate information from all of their
suppliers, and suppliers giving customers all the information they need - when they want it, where
they want it, and in whatever format they choose.'

A new focus on USB 2.0-based products representing concept PCs that 'fit easily into your hand'
was unveiled by Intel Corporation along with the announcement of the 'Beyond AGP4x Initiative,'
which is designed to advance computer industry graphics past the current AGP4x levels.
