I think most people now think of the Confederate flag as standing for regional pride. I don't believe it is thought to be a slap at anyone. It may be perceived that way but it is Southern pride rather than any mean statement. As far as going to Bob Jones University I am not sure they are being fairly represented. I don't know what their positions are because I had heard little of the school before. However, building unity among our people means communicating with many we don't agree with if it is possible to debate issues to bring fairness for all people. Did he just make a political speech there or did he endorse their values such as Hillary Clinton endorsed Al Sharpton and his group or as Al Gore endorsed the Chinese and their group at the Monastary?
