This is a whole new game. The on-line investing boom has just gotten started in my opinion. As long as there are millions upon millions of baby-boomers bringing in paychecks without having any bills to pay, money will conitinue to pour into the market. It's gotta go somewhere, and everywhere else just plain looks boring. I see DOW 20,000 within the next 2 years myself. And the Nasdaq at 10k....no problem. I'm not ready to go bearish just yet. Buy on the dip, and buy on the dip, and buy on the dip. When them baby-boomers start retiring, and dropping off, and they are left with social security and meager pensions, be short. We have time to party for a while though. As far as the traditional "bear" market.....well, we'll never see that type of thing again. We will most definitely see a huge drop in valuations, (someday) but the volatility will always be there. Things will move, and opportunities will present themselves.....not like the old days where stocks just sat around doing nothing all day for months and years on end. This party will probably last another 10 years. Not without it's ups and downs of course though. The Goldman Sachs thing will probably cause us to run out of beer for a little while though. Happy Trading
