Hi Merry, ... and 1188 (Whimsey) is rumored to be a shell for Sony. Many of these will turn out to be scams. However, should an investor put equal money in 10 smallest market cap stocks and 10 stocks with smallest price/share denomination, will probably do OK.

The need for shells (allowing a faster exit to original investors in VC invested busineses) is real. But this is an entirely different strategy than investing and holding in 648 and buying 8.
