K62 550 is now in pricewatch.

It has already been categorized with 3 entries. ETA is in couple of weeks.http://rook.pricewatch.com/search/link.idq?ne=18762&l=18716&qc=@ctd+3+AND+@contents+AMD*+AND+@contents+K6*+AND+@contents+2*+AND+@contents+550*+AND+@contents+3DNOW*&catd=3&cn=Microprocessors+PC&cr=Microprocessors+PC+AMD+K6-2+550+3DNow&n=48&CiCodePage=Windows-1252&a=2

They must surely be 0.18 parts which makes perfect sense. At $120 it should keep the ASP of the K62 line or even raise it a bit. Overall ASP will of course continue to raise due to higher number of Athlon.

I saw HP 800 MHz Athlon in San Diego Fry's. Nothing over 650 MHz for Intel. But there was lots of 600 MHz which is a change from couple of weeks ago.

Over the past few days I have seen tons of Athlon base machines being advertised on the shopping channel from Everex and CyberMax.

I also saw a Athlon 600 infomercial from Value America.

Lots and lots of Gateway adds.

Athlon is clearly selling very well, if it was not, they would not spend all the money advertising it.
