I use Qualcomm's fax/modem PC card (#TXPCM031-1) and simply plug in my QCP-2760 thin phone.

Sounds like the 860 could be a combination of PC card/modem and thin phone. Is that right? Is the 860 superior to the 2760? I believe you will need this PC card regardless of the thin phone. You can't just plug a thin phone directly to your laptop.

Eric should have the answer...

(BTW, QCP just means "Qualcomm Consumer Products")
