I've not used cybertrader a lot, but did look into this exact issue.

Cybertrader seems to use roughly the same bandwidth over the line as RT3. With a 56k modem you can reasonably track a *few* stocks at once and the number decreases the more active they are.

Basically it can be done, but you have to set your trading style to match the limitations.

Because of this exact issue I use Qcharts as my primary data source and trade with CyberX.
