Patriarch: Curious why TI is planning chips through 2010 without any participation whatsoever in the fastest growing
wireless technology - CDMA?

All mobile wireless will be moving toward one form or another of CDMA during that time period - either the
evolution from CDMA One or that from GSM to WCDMA.

As this shift takes place where will the market be in mobile wireless for TI's DSPs. Will sales be limited to GSM and
TDMA which will have a huge installed base but shrinking future growth prospects?

Yet there seems to be no plan for TI to participate in 2nd or 3rd gen CDMA mobile data where Qualcomm and
CDMA will have real advantages..

Or am I missing something?

Best.

Chaz

PS Am a long time TI investor and admire the company's management savvy greatly. Therefore puzzled by the
seeming blind spot or seeming lack of planning for future trends in mobile wireless.

PPS Is it that TI intends to concentrate on wired delivery systems or fixed wirelss and not mobile wireless for future
growth?
