You must live in or near Silicon Valley and there is no immediate remedy. I always remember how much I was looking forward to @home arriving in Silicon Valley. The #1 internet market in the world. The place that sets the technology culture. The place that creates a bold new future. A whole lotta rich people who buy high tech stocks too! @home has crushed itself by failing there. We blame many things- open access, AOL, Armstrong, Excite, the list goes on. But deep in my heart I know that if @home/TCI/AT&T had executed cleanly in the SF Bay Area all of that would have been irrelevant noise compared the vision of the future that was being built. Eventually they will get their acts together and provide universal quality service. But the stain will remain a very long time. They blew it where it was most important. Eric PS: I've never heard exactly what the problem is besides some vague blame being tossed at 3com. Do you know the story?
